Background
Me and my best friend, LeeAnn, collaborated together for this design assignment 11 years ago, while taking a visual identity class in 2012.
Understanding the problem
We needed to design a visual identity for a 5-star boutique hotel that supported turtle conservation; as a complement, we also needed to create solutions for merch or other supporting visual identity.
Result
We came up with the logo and key amenities that are essential for any hotel. I remember we did try to print some of them but had some struggles along the way. Later, we received feedback from our professor and we were able to fix certain printing quality issues and re print it correctly.
10 years later, I step in and modify certain elements such as an improvement to the typography and simplify the turtle logo and color palette.
